Chris had potential, but needed to learn how to stay out of wrecks to race full-time. Chris was involved in more than several accidents in the 2006 Klassic, which is an unintentionally comedic highlight in the 2006 Klassic DVD set due to the outrageous and puzzling manner of most of them. However, after he was DQ’ed for causing too many cautions in one race (because he came close to both hurting himself, his brother, and others), the whole Maynes racing team left, sold their karts, and only raced on a periodic, semi-retired basis before their…
Retirement:
Chris’ kart’s owner and father Edward decided to sell their entire stable of karts and retire from full-time karting after continual crashes in the 2006-07 seasons. Chris and his brother Ken also never returned to the races after that.
