Another missing kart. First brought to our club in 2012 by Dave Spanfelner as the red #81, who jumped ship for Oswego Kartway in 2014. Jason King then purchased it and renumbered it #12, who scored a feature win and ran strong in the Klassic with it in 2016. Finally, when Jason quit, it was sold in 2018 to some guy named Chris Smith, who drove it TWICE… then took it to Darien Lake, joy rode it, and must’ve been hard up because he sold it to a complete and total stranger in the campground parking lot like a drug deal or something.*

THE SPANFELNER #81 / KING #12j / SMITH #24c KART WINS LIST

Complete win list – all with videos! Um… welp, only one!

* = Again, here is another example of why Chris and Matt never sell karts. We have a backyard speedway with a very specialized kart type that races on it. They’re built specifically for this track, and we rent karts out (albeit we make no money, it’s nominal for just gas and parts only, Matt rarely to never even breaks even, and we occasionally have more drivers than karts available). This Chris Smith dude just… buys the kart, does poorly once, then sells it to a total stranger a few hours away from us. You can’t make this $#!t up.

So… If you know of this kart or karts like it, we’re always looking for donations, trades, or — if it’s one of our karts from our actual history — to buy. Contact us.
