Sunday, July 30th, 2023, OSWEGO, NY – Nic Olivares led from green to checker in the 1st feature, while David Hartpence Jr. passed a kart to win the 2nd Feature of the night. Once again, the racing was excellent, and two newcomers raced well for their 1st time on the track… but for a few years now we have struggled to maintain high driver counts, particularly veteran drivers. Where are you guys???

Once again, our problem hasn’t been not having good drivers show up on race day. It’s been not having enough good drivers show up. It’s almost unfair to start excellent, feature-winning drivers 1-4th in the top four positions… but the reason is we haven’t had enough drivers on the track!

However, Nic Olivares can’t complain, as he took advantage of this and led green to checker in the Galletta’s #1 to take the win of the 1st feature.

Sadly, while Aou is usually on her game, for some reason (either camera error, SD card error, or human error), the 2nd feature did not get recorded. This not only saddens Chris (who documents the races and archives them on YouTube for this site but also scores the points from it), but also Aou — she said she worked harder on the zooming and got the action better than usual, and we have nothing to show for it!
