PROFILE PICS
2019
Travis before the 24th running of the Intergalactic Galletta’s Greenhouse Go-Kart Klassic 200 (driving the Galletta’s Greenhouse Team #5), his 1st attempt at Galletta’s Speedway. He did very well, running in the top 2 with Kelly Miller for a fairly large portion of the race before mechanical issues took him out before the event’s conclusion.
The following week, he did win a “dark match” (a non-points/unrecorded event) feature (this happens when Chris and his wife Rung are not available and an event is run with no video to score and keep record of the race).
2020
Travis Bartlett – Galletta’s Greenhouse Racing #9 (Starting 4th in the 25th Annual Galletta’s Greenhouse Karting Klassic 200 via a 16.71)
Travis started in the #9, but it developed motor issues in the early stages. He then hopped into the #5 and regained a lost lap by passing the entire field once and then almost twice as he challenged (eventual winner Matt Stevens) for the lead in the late stages before the #5 also broke down for the night. Even so, he outlasted all but 3 others for 4th in the 200.
And although he came close, he did not collect a Feature win in his 1st full season at Galletta’s, but he DID achieve both the 2020 Rookie of the Year AND 2020 Visitor’s Points Title!

Fun Facts:
Travis is part of a local racing family and has raced both Supermodifieds and SBS Supers at the Oswego Speedway. He also reminded us that he won Rookie of the Year in both extremely competitive divisions!
Travis’ father (Terry) drove Supermodifieds in the 80s and 90s, then in the late 90s until early 2000’s, Travis’ uncles (Russ, Tim, Jamie, and Jeff) were at one point all driving small block Supermodifieds. His uncle (and fellow Oswego Speedway SBS veteran) Russell Bartlett also raced on and off at Galletta’s and won a 2010 Feature in the #9. Travis and Russ are currently fielding cars in Oswego’s SBS class.
He is also highly caffeinated.
