Galletta's Karting Club

In 2006 we raced 2 tracks: 35 drivers raced in our 11th season at Galletta’s Speedway & 18 drivers raced in our new “gas stocker” division in our 1st season at the new Oswego Speedway Dirt track (later renamed Oswego Kartway), built in part by former Galletta’s driver Jim Losurdo. We were the biggest class at the track, as we would field 10-16 karts on the track per week, while the other divisions (assorted methanol classes and a Champ class)  fielded 1-8 on the track per week. Many believe he got the idea to build the Kartway when racing at Galletta’s, and that he also vowed to help his friends in the Outlaws division race. Let us see what would happen, shall we?

The Galletta’s Go-Kart Club is the central organization for the Gas Stocker Kart (formerly Racing-Modified Yard Kart) Championship of Oswego County, NY. The club races in a series of points races at Galletta’s Greenhouse’s Backyard Karting Track since the mid-1990s and Oswego Speedway since 2006. However, in 2006, we did not have cameras running at the Oswego Speedway. Due to ZERO videotaped races, we could only score what we conclusively know: (1) who raced and (2) who won.
