2007 Season
The 2007 Season – 12th at Galletta’s Greenhouse Backyard Speedway & 2nd at Oswego Speedway’s Dirt Kartway
Was by far one of our busiest, most competitive and talent-stacked. Between the Oswego Kartway (back then simply known as the Oswego Speedway Dirt Track in it’s 2nd full season of operation) and our Galletta’s Greenhouse Backyard Track, 57 different drivers ran a combined 28 features! So action-packed this season was, that not one but TWO YouTube Playlists are needed to contain it!
2007 Season Video Playlist Volume #1
2007 Season Video Playlist Volume #2
That’s right! 274 race videos to our 2nd Season at Oswego Speedway Kartway: (2007) & 12th Season at Galletta’s: (2007).
Season Rundown with Race-by-Race Descriptions, Points, Driver Profiles, and COMPLETE Race Videos embedded on each page
2007 Volume #1 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the June 3rd, 2007 races at Galletta’s. Gary Miller Sr. opened the year with an impressive victory in his brand-new Miller Racing #24, a former Dingo Kart formerly owned by Kyle Reuter and rebuilt for Galletta’s-style racing by Dick Dann. He held off challenges from the Galletta’s Karting founding bros.–Chris and Matt Stevens! Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5 for DVD, or watch free videos on the race page (please whitelist from your Ad Blockers).
2007 Volume #3 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the June 15th, 2007 races at Oswego Speedway (featuring rare video of Tobias Slingshots at Oswego Kartway) and the June 17th, 2007 races at Galletta’s. Matt Stevens swept the both of them in his explosive Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #33 kart (powered only by a 5hp Briggs flathead with a shaved head). Also includes some footage of other kart classes and the Tobias Slingshots at Oswego Speedway’s Dirt Kartway. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5 for DVD, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #4 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:

Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5 for DVD, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #6 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the July 5th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway (where OHV Outlaw #83 Eric Raponi “allegedly” wrecked every single member of Team Galletta’s to help seal Joe Hayden’s 1st career win in his OHV Outlaw #5 kart), and the July 8th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (where Matt Stevens won in his Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #33). 2 hours & 20 minutes of racing action. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5 for DVD, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #7 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the July 13th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway (that saw Galletta’s 5hp FH kart Matt Stevens barely beat Outlaw 6.6 OHV kart Eric Raponi at the stripe for the Money Show victory), and the July 15th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (where Matt is proving to be unstoppable, taking yet another feature win). 3 hours of racing action. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #8 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the July 22nd, 2007 races from Galletta’s. Matt Stevens keeps getting these tough-fought wins, this time getting fellow talented wheelers Kyle Reuter and bro Chris Stevens all riled up to start getting violent with him! (No, we’re all having fun, just a funny picture for you who take this stuff too seriously. And seriously… knowing how our website has seemingly angered so many over the years… some do). 1 hour & 47 minutes. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #9 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the July 26th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway (Eric Raponi narrowly holds off a charging Matt Stevens), and the July 29th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (Matt takes it). 2 hours & 21 minutes. Some people want to beat Matt Stevens up. Not because he’s a bad guy. He’s a soft-spoken, quiet, but extremely nice and helpful lad. There’s just one reason: He wins almost every damn race he’s in! Even if you have a bigger motor, he still finds a way. If race teams at the Oswego Speedway needed a good driver, there are several in our class that can wheel. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #10 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the August 2nd, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway’s Dirt Kartway (which saw Team Galletta’s Matt Stevens narrowly edge Team Outlaws Eric Raponi yet again at the stripe), and the August 5th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (where the penetration of Dick Dann trucked the Destroyer Chassis #86 into victory lane). 2 hours & 21 minutes. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #11 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the August 9th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway’s Dirt Track (Matt Stevens again picked up the win in his Team Galletta’s #33), and the August 12th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (that had TWENTY-ONE drivers enter, but Matt Stevens again walk away with the victory). 2 hours & 10 minutes. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #12 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the August 16th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway’s Dirt Kartway (won by Matt Stevens in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #33), and the August 19th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (won by Kyle Reuter in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #5). 1 hour & 54 minutes. Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #13 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains both angles of the INFAMOUS August 26th, 2007 races at Galletta’s (won by Chris Stevens in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #8 kart) which contained the worst accident that we have ever recorded on our track to that date–between Matt Stevens, Kyle Reuter, Wes “Ogre” Stevens and Freddy Collins–which garnered more YouTube hits than the rest of our videos COMBINED), and as a bonus, one of the two camera angles from the August 30th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway Yard Kart Classic. 1 hour & 56 minutes!
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
THE 1ST ANNUAL OSWEGO SPEEDWAY DIRT (AKA OSWEGO KARTWAY) CLASSIC 50
2007 Volume #14 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos – The 1st Oswego Racing Yard Kart Classic from Oswego Speedway Dirt (AKA Oswego Kartway)
Contains both camera angles of the August 30th, 2007 races from Oswego Speedway’s Dirt track on Classic Weekend to decide the 1st Annual Oswego Kartway Classic 50–won by Chris Stevens (in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #8), as he avenged himself for getting wiped out earlier in the year AND getting caught in a stupid wreck early in the race by lapped traffic newbie Shadoe Russell while leading by taking the 15-kart 50-lapper, with the founders of Galletta’s Greenhouse Go-Karts (Chris, Wes, and Matt Stevens) swept the podium! The Oswego Gas Yard Kart Champion was also clinched by Matt Stevens of Team Galletta’s Greenhouse as well. This volume also includes some other classes in addition to our own, proving not only do we race better… we keep records better. Try finding this on Oswego Kartway’s website. Sorry, you won’t! 1 hour & 47 minutes!
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you whitelist us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #15 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the September 3rd, 2007 races at Galletta’s only now, as we are done at Oswego Kartway for the year after the team’s glorious podium sweep last weekend. The notorious Matthew Stevens again steals the show with yet another win in his Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #33 (but that doesn’t make up for not winning the Classic 50, however with a huge lead in the points, he’s currently eyeing the Galletta’s Klassic 200 win to soften the blow of preventing his COMPLETE domination of gas Oswego Karting 2007), The action is 1 hour & 50 minutes! Two camera angles of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you white-list us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #16 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the 9/10/2007 race, Ryan Coleman holds off Stevens Bros, Reuter & Cottom in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #9. That’s right… it’s the Buddy’s Story 40! And here to think that Wes Stevens and cameraman Gene Galletta had no idea their old workplace had so much action after hours… well, no, I think they suspected as much! The action is over an hour, but none of the “story” part! That is left burned in our imaginations. Only one camera angle of each race.
Price $5, free to watch on the page if you white-list us on your ad blocker.
THE 12TH ANNUAL GALLETTA’S GREENHOUSE KARTING KLASSIC 200
2007 Volume #17 & 18 DVD Set – The Galletta’s Go-Karts Klassic 175 & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
This 2-disc set contains the 12th Annual Galletta’s Go-Kart Klassic Championship (175-lap/20-Mile race; 200 laps after cautions) from September 23rd, 2007! Chock-full of talent in this one, as the founding bros. Matt and Chris were joined by talented racers Kyle Reuter, Ryian Coleman, Buddy Cottom, Michael “MC” Howell (later known as DJ Mike), and more. Matt Stevens was able to take control of this one late in the show when a few karts got bunched up, but the otherwise exciting race was marred by an accident that forced Wesley “Ogre” Stevens into retirement from weekly competition when a 1st-time rookie sent him into the buckwheat and his kart flipped on top of him, breaking his shoulder blade and 4-5 ribs under it. Each disc has a different camera angle of the same race, pre-race commentaries and National Anthems – including Ogre’s! Totals over three hours!
Price $10 (2 discs), free to watch on the page if you white-list us on your ad blocker.
2007 Volume #19 DVD & Complete YouTube Race Videos:
Contains the October 6th, 2007 race (won by Matt Stevens in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #3) and the November 11th, 2007 races (won by Chris Stevens in the Team Galletta’s Greenhouse #4 kart, which was originally one of his rides in the early 1990s, but Wes Stevens took it over until it broke him) at Galletta’s and as a bonus: The 10/31/2005 Halloween Haunted Trail. The disc completes with either a recap of the season or the final “Winter” Galletta’s race (pending; not yet finalized until last 2007 race is decided). Two camera angles of each race.
Price $10 (2 discs), free to watch on the page if you white-list us on your ad blocker.

The above chart shows the combined scoring totals every Oswego Speedway and Galletta’s Greenhouse gas-only, 5-8hp “Super Yard Kart” event. These classes have been called the “street cred” karting in the local area by someone (Kyle Reuter) who races both, and if you can’t cut it in this class, then you better stick with your own 2-7 kart events and think your better than you really are. Overpriced methanol drivers who think that they are better drivers than us just because their karts cost 10x’s as much, you are not, and you can use your arrogance as an excuse, but cowards need not apply. Methanol drivers who want closer and more competitive racing, do apply and race both!
The Tracks we raced at this entire season
Galletta’s Go-Kart Speedway is a highly banked 0.133887 mile dirt oval and can be seen from outer space! The single-wheel-drive karts take the track between 15-17 seconds per lap which averages around 30 mph (probably 45-50 mph top speed in the straights). Our speeds are comparable to alcohol/methanol karts that cost 8 times as much because we use only stock parts and gas; leading to more karts, more competition, and more fun. Thanks to Google Earth for this Spring 2006 photo.
Oswego Kartway is a small clay oval karting track with almost no banking that is located in back of the rear grandstand at Oswego Speedway and founded in 2005. It has hosted countless karting classes since 2006, and the Galletta’s Greenhouse Karting Club has been one of its strongest supporters since the very beginning and through the 2007 season, looking forward to 2008.
While the Oswego Speedway’s Kartway has a well prepared clay surface funded by and worked on countless hordes of people, Galletta’s Greenhouse Backyard Speedway (also known as John J. Galletta Memorial Speedway) has existed since the early 1990s and is ONLY funded and worked on by Matt Stevens. Hint: If Matt had some help and funders, we could really knock this thing out of the park. Until then… it’s just a backyard speedway.
