[STOLEN!!!] A kart with a convoluted and complex history. Let’s examine it through its many owner/drivers.

Dann #02 / 68 Era (2006-09)

Originally a yard kart rebuilt into a Galletta’s style Racing kart by Dick Dann for his son Nick Dann. Initially numbered #02, then renumbered Dann Racing #68, and raced it on a fairly regular basis from 2006-09. Nick won an Oswego Kartway feature in the kart, and finally Dick won a Fall 2008 feature at Galletta’s in it. Eric Howell proudly posed with the kart and planned to race it in 2009, but pulled out with no reason given.

Racin’ Nason #35 Era (2010-11)

Next, it was sold in 2010 to Arnold “AJ” Nason and renumbered the Racin’ Nason #35, and given not one, but two beautiful paint and vinyl livery jobs. He ran it most of 2010 and into 2011, even winning a ’10 Labor Day Feature event behind the wheel. Kyle Reuter also ran the kart in the 2011 Klassic in this era, trying to duplicate his 2010 Klassic Victory, and was running well until he lost a front tire.

The Ruggio / Woolworth & Others #02/88 Era (2011-15)

When AJ moved to Georgia, it was then sold to Billy Ruggio #02, but when he stopped racing, he then sold it to Billy Truax, who barely raced it, then sold it to Eric Woolworth, who — if then re-sold back to Ruggio, who rarely drove it despite it being at the track every week. Then, Ruggio sold it back to Eric Woolworth again, who raced it infrequently before…

The kart was finally bought sight-unseen by a never-shows-up-to-race driver named Scott Hill, who apparently believed he could rebuild the engine better than Matt (BWHAHA!), but before that bold belief could ever be tested… the kart was promptly stolen out of his front yard.

Scott Hill #? Era… Missing — STOLEN!!!!! (2016-up)

SIDE NOTE: Nice. Real nice. This is why we don’t like to sell karts to people sight unseen and who never race even once, and why we now buy EVERY single Galletta’s-type kart that goes up for sale. The kart had a rich history and if we knew the dude was never going to show up to a single race and have it stolen from his yard, we would have bought it instead and kept it as a Galletta’s rental kart. This was the incident that made us buy ALL Galletta-type karts up for sale from here on out.

Confusing, I know. This kart, possibly the most repainted/renumbered in our history, had its last four owners not pick up wins in it as the first two owners did. All wins in the kart below:
