Galletta's Karting Club

In ’06 we raced in the Oswego Speedway Dirt Track (two years later renamed Oswego Kartway)’s 1st season in addition to our 11th. Our Galletta’s Club (and the OHV Outlaws) tallied 39 drivers in 26 races on the 2 tracks, with the 150 lap Klassic at Galletta’s being the culmination to a HUGE season! We were also the biggest class on the track, as most other methanol / flat-kart chassis divisions tallied 1-8 karts a division, while we tallied 8-16 karts on track in ours. We also scored approximately 1 second slower than the methanol  flat-kart classes! Essentially meaning that the extra grand or so they spend on their karts only makes them 1 measly second quicker. No two ways about it… the Galletta’s Karting club is not only the most affordable, it’s also the largest and most competitive karting division in Central NY! You will not get more bang for your buck than racing Galletta’s karts on TWO tracks. Not disrespecting the other classes, but that fact is a huge one to consider. We also recorded all of our shows at Galletta’s, slapped them in sweet 1-3 hour DVDs, and purchased a new camera to record Oswego’s races next season as well!

The Galletta’s Go-Kart Club is the central organization for the Gas Stocker Kart (formerly Racing-Modified Yard Kart) Championship of Oswego County, NY. 2006 Oswego Speedway Dirt (AKA Oswego Kartway) Gas Stocker/Super Yard Kart Point Standings:

FINALIZED. We score all events by reviewing the videotapes. However, in 2006, we did not have cameras running at the Oswego Speedway. Due to ZERO videotaped races, we could only score what we conclusively know: (1) who raced and (2) who won. Each driver earned 60 points-per-event, except for the race winner earning 100 points-per-win. Here is the result.

The 11th Annual Galletta’s Go-Karts Klassic 150 – 2006 Volume #13 & 14 DVD Set:
This 2-disc set contains the Galletta’s Go-Kart Klassic Championship 150 from September 23rd, 2006! Each disc has a different camera angle of the same race, and as a bonus, the race before and two races after. The entire 2006 season is available via request ($5 per disc)! Price $10 (2 discs).
